Chad-ebowing?

The title doesn't sound right, does it?  I haven't posted in a couple of months, but right now this is most appropriate to tell.  If you know me, you know I'm a Denver Broncos fan.  Given the time of year and that my Broncos are in the playoffs again, this moment comes to mind.

I met a legend.  I had the honor of accompanying N to a wedding a couple of months ago.  The bride is a friend of N's who was very connected to Purdue's athletic department. Who's the legend, you ask? Since you're thinking football and Purdue, the connection is not so clear. Thankfully, I did NOT meet Kyle Orton.

I met Coach Gene Keady...

So, he's not connected to football, and certainly not connected to the Broncos, but he is an awesome man.  He was extremely nice, personable, and an absolute joy to talk to and hang out with.  In fact, he was so cool that, upon request, and with a craze starting among certain sports fans...

YES!!  We Tebowed! Actually, I like to think of this as Keady-bowing.

Regardless of how Tebow and the Broncos play today, Coach Gene Keady will always be great. Perhaps one of my kids will go to Purdue and this story will mean something to her (or him) too.
