After a year off of the blog, and 4 months off of organized running, I've been feeling pretty 'husky." At least that's been my term for it. I've been fighting to run under a 9 minute pace, due to freezing, snowy weather keeping me inside, even on a dread-mill at times. Still, it was time to start running again, to drop some pounds and get ready for Mini-marathon #2.
First up:

It was as cold, if not colder than the Jingle Bell run in mid-December, which made it tough on the lungs. I didn't expect a solid outcome, but something about running with a large group is fueling.

Not a bad outcome. Glad to see I'm not as slow and "husky" as I've felt the past few months. Bring on next weekend's trail run!
